Hypnotherapy
About
Hypnotherapy is a powerful therapeutic modality, which is capable of healing a number of mental and physical health conditions, including: depression & anxiety, addictions, codependency, sexual, mental & physical abuse, and somatic & chronic pain, among many others.
Hypnotherapy works by inducing the client in a state of deep relaxation, moving from the conscious to the subconscious and unconscious mind. In this relaxed state, the client is guided to explore and revisit the root of trauma or maladaptive behavior. The client is then able to reprocess foundational traumatic experiences, embedding insight and wisdom from the conscious mind.

I received my certification in Hypnotherapy from the Wellness Institute in 2025. I have been trained to conduct hypnotherapy through telehealth, so the client is able to receive treatment in the comfort of their own home.
FAQs
Who is a good candidate for hypnotherapy?
-
The ideal client for hypnotherapy is a person who is ready to make significant movement in their life. Perhaps they have been a long-term therapy client and still haven't overcome certain challenges and barriers. An ideal hypnotherapy client is open and curious about hypnosis, is imaginative, and are able to relax and let go of control. The success of hypnotherapy is contingent on the client's openness and desire for change.
What are the risks of hypnotherapy?
-
Hypnosis and hypnotherapy is sometimes thought of as risky or manipulative, or people fear the possibility of "not being able to wake up," or being susceptible to manipulation. The outcomes of hypnotherapy are client-driven, meaning the client's openness and intentions create the experience the client has.
What does it feel like to be under hypnosis?
-
The induction process of hypnotherapy guides the client into a calm state of deep relaxation. It may feel like the beginning stages of sleep, but the client will be awake, will have control the whole time, and will remember everything in the session. This calm state allows the conscious mind to tap into the subconscious and unconscious minds -- the realms where many traumas are deeply embedded. It is in these places that the transformations occur. Hypnotherapy does not make you act against your morals or ethics, it can help you to gain insight and clarity behind your beliefs and put them into action.
How much does hypnotherapy cost?
-
Hypnotherapy sessions begin at $250 per individual session, including initial interview, resourcing session, and hypnotherapy session. Clients may experience significant movement in their area of focus from a single session, but may pursue multiple sessions in which to deepen insight, self-knowledge, and healing. For focuses like addiction or I offer a variety of packages for you to choose the hypnotherapy experience best designed to achieve your goals. Hypnotherapy sessions can be submitted to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.
Is hypnotherapy a replacement for talk therapy?
-
My strong belief is that hypnotherapy should be conducted in conjunction with other supportive therapies, be it weekly talk therapy, substance abuse counseling, psychiatry, and other forms of therapy. It is also highly encouraged that a client seek a physician before utilizing hypnotherapy for somatic and chronic pain treatment.
